Personalized Education

All students are unique

Personalized education promotes the growth of the person from a harmonious and global approach, adapting the pace of acquisition of skills to the peculiarities of each student. All students are unique, and for each of them we have a personal learning challenge.

Family schools

Attendis wants to be your trusted partner in education

The role of the family in education is one of the pillars of our Educational Project. We encourage the involvement of families through participation in work groups, personal interviews, workshops and family counseling sessions.

Christian Education

Transcendent meaning and orientation to good

Our educational project includes many of the teachings of Saint Josemaría, founder of Opus Dei, on the family, love for a job well done and concern for others. The Opus Dei Prelature advises our schools in their work of Christian formation. Priests spiritually minister parents, teachers, and students.

Character Education

Train whole people

Attendis' pedagogical commitment is an Educational Project that integrates all facets of the human being. Academic training is joined by learning the skills and competences that are the basis of happiness and personal fulfillment.

Active learning spaces

The 0 to 2 year stage is privileged for growth in all aspects. Along with the acquisition of the four basic habits – food, hygiene, rest and order – neuropsychomotor development occurs, with the appearance of the intellectual, social and motor skills that are at the base of learning.

Combining the experience of almost 50 years with the most proven pedagogical research, Attendis has developed the Active Learning Spaces project: an environment designed for children to develop their natural talent through play and interaction with their classmates.

Nature
space

In this space, in addition to going out into a natural environment, outdoors and to an organic garden, we bring a piece of nature into the classroom.

Sensory
space

Here children have the possibility to choose stimuli to explore and investigate. Freedom and autonomy are key in this space.

Baby Fit
space

Connects psychomotricity with the development of basic motor patterns; including both free movement and emotional and expressive movement.

Cognitive
space

It focuses on activities that require attention, memory and concentration, always with a playful approach. Bits of intelligence, picture books, curricular content will be worked on.

Maker and Stem
workshops

We encourage gradual contact with technology and hand tools. Thus we stimulate children's natural creativity and manipulative learning.

Emotional
space

Learn to manage, express and understand emotions with a methodology adapted to young ages.

Symbolic
space

They will be in contact with everyday resources. It is a representative space in which everyone can exercise the role they want. At the same time, theaters, dramatizations and daily real life conflictive situations will be staged.

Living book
space

Here the first contact with books and stories take place, enjoying the illustrations, browsing, exploring ... This way, we enhance imagination and lay the foundations of the love of reading.

Our values

Our Human Training plan integrates the attributes of the International Baccalaureate Learning Community, which are aimed at training people with an international mind.

Attendis adds two attributes of its Educational Project:

We look beyond immediate and material circumstances.

We manage our conduct with an ethical sense, which seeks the common good of people and society. We avoid judging other people, striving to do good and promoting harmony, justice and peace.

Frequent questions

The school secretary will give you an appointment to meet with our school’s Steering Committee where parents will receive complete information regarding the school and its educational programme. Your son or daughter will be given a brief level test—whenever possible, at the same time as your meeting with the Steering Committee. Within a week, at the most, the school will contact you to inform you about the status of the admission process.

The school has its own dining hall on the school premises. Our menus are drawn up by specialised nutritionists and meals are cooked daily in the school kitchens, strictly following all food safety regulations and quality protocols.

Several bus routes cover most of the towns and residential areas surrounding the school. All school transportation vehicles are equipped with appropriate seats adapted for all ages. Bus route monitors, normally teachers at the school, guarantee that an educational atmosphere is maintained throughout the journey to and from school.

Attendis offers bilingual education in English and Spanish from the very first day of class. Preschool and primary school students receive half of their lessons in English, while in secondary school, one-third of all classes are taught in English (at least three subjects).

Attendis schools have native teaching assistants who provide students with conversational support during class, allowing students to practise the language in groups and improve their level of oral communication.

In addition, our curriculum includes the learning of a third language (French, German or Portuguese) from the first year of Primary Education.

Technology is an ever present tool in our day-to-day educational programme, aimed at maximising the learning opportunities that digital technologies provide while helping our students adopt responsible habits when using electronic devices and applications. Likewise, students can develop their skills at creating new content through the use of digital media.

In the 2018/2019 school year, Attendis will launch a new G Suite-based platform for collaborative work. This is a pioneering project in Spain that will open up new learning and communication opportunities amongst families, teachers and students.
